Many parents are shocked to hear how much ABA therapy is being prescribed for their small child. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends early intervention at 25-40 hours per week before the age of 7. Read the research here.
Below are just a few of the studies that offer overwhelming evidence of dramatically different outcomes for children receiving high quality therapy at 25-40 hours per week.

At Adaptable ABA Therapy, we strive to meet of what the AAP is recommending. Here’s how we translate the new guidelines into practice:
Starting early is our priority: We aim to see children as young as 15 months for evaluation and intervention. That way, support begins in those foundational developmental windows. (The brains of infants and toddlers are remarkably responsive to early learning.)
Parent empowerment: We believe therapy works best when parents are partners. Our BCBAs provide coaching and tools parents can use daily — in the home, in community settings, and in everyday routines — to generalize gains beyond the clinic.
Collaborative care for co-existing conditions: We maintain open lines of communication with pediatricians and other specialists. When children have additional health or behavioral challenges, our team works together with physicians to align goals and interventions.
Why Now Matters
AAP guidelines focus on early, consistent, and evidence-based intervention. This can alter developmental trajectories. The sooner we begin, the more doors open for children in learning, communication, social engagement, and independence.
If you’re exploring evaluation or therapy options, or you’ve noticed developmental differences and aren’t sure where to begin, let Adaptable ABA Therapy help.
Together, we can work toward meaningful gains and brighter possibilities.
